Tim has been involved in practical farming all his life, having been brought up on a successful commercial orchard. He spent several years travelling around New Zealand, Australia and USA studying sustainable systems of agriculture and farming, before establishing his own commercial horticulture systems.
Currently he is an avocado grower, nurseryman, seed collector. He co-directs Forest Floor Ltd and Eco-NZ Ltd, and is the chief consultant of Eco NZ Ltd.
Tim has a no-nonsense approach to consultancy based on keen observation. He offers a pragmatic approach, finding solutions that actually work. His practical background is also backed by ongoing research in ecology.
